Atlantic City, NJ

On our way to Atlantic City, NJ we (FC & I) stopped at Shut Up and EAT! a diner in Tom's River, NJ. I believe we found out about this restaurant from Lonely Planet's travel guide.
FC ordered french toast with powdered sugar, Nutella, and strawberries. I ordered a hearty sandwich that had bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese.  We both enjoyed our food, but were slightly disappointed when we realized that their "french fries" looked more like diced potatoes mixed with onions. Finally, tater tots are always a delight ;D

Upon arrival to Atlantic City, our first stop was the Absecon Lighthouse. This lighthouse is New Jersey's tallest lighthouse and the country's third tallest lighthouse. It is also 150 years old and open for climbing with 228 steps.

The next pictures show Revel, Atlantic City's newest casino/resort. It is a very beautiful building with amazing views. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of their rooms had themes and chairs to sit in. It will be interesting to see how Revel compares to Borgata in the future, especially when it's in full swing.

Stayed at the Taj Mahal and for $72 I was grateful that our bedroom featured a comfortable bed, exciting views, and a decent sized bathroom.
